Silicone breast augmentation

There are three types of silicone gel filled breast augmentation implants, the first type has a single lumen, pre filled by the manufacturer with a fixed volume of silicone gel, the second type is a double shell with one inner lumen pre filled by the manufacturer with a fixed volume of silicone gel and an outer lumen that is being filled during the operation with a fixed volume of saline using a valve. The third type of the silicone breast augmentation implant is the one with a double lumen, having an outer shell pre filled by the manufacturer with a fixed volume of silicone gel and the second lumen is the inner one which is filled during the surgery with saline solution. This last type of implant allows for adjustment of the saline volume after the surgery is finished.
